Signing up only creates your account. It does not buy a subscription. Costs start when you book the Core plan in the dashboard. After that you get the connection details for your phone app and OBS.

You need an encoder app on your phone (for example Moblin or IRLPro), or a hardware encoder or drone with RTMP, SRT or SRTLA output, and a PC with OBS that stays running during the stream. StreamRelay sits in between: the phone sends to the publish URL, OBS picks the video up from the read URL and broadcasts it to your platform.

No. If you stream from the platform app without a PC or OBS, you do not need a relay. StreamRelay makes sense when you want your OBS scenes and overlays while you are out and about.

The Core is your personal cloud reception point for live streaming. It receives streams from mobile apps (like Moblin or IRLPro) or any RTMP/SRT/SRTLA source. You can then embed this stream as a stable media source in OBS Studio without opening inbound ports or running your own relay server.

Yes, absolutely. Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the world's leading payment processors. Your sensitive payment data never touches our servers. Pay conveniently by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Prices shown on the website are net prices. The applicable VAT/GST/sales tax is added on top and shown to you separately at checkout before you buy; the final amount depends on your location (e.g. Germany +19%, Austria +20%, many non-EU countries differ). Payment is processed through Stripe under "Stripe Managed Payments": Stripe acts as the merchant of record, calculates the tax, shows it, remits it to the relevant tax authority, and issues your invoice. Your receipt and card statement therefore show the purchase as processed through Stripe/Link. If you are a business in the EU (outside Germany) and provide a valid VAT ID, the reverse-charge mechanism applies and no VAT is charged. StreamRelay remains the provider of the streaming service itself.

Setup is automated. Your Core is configured after purchase. In most cases, your access details for OBS and Moblin are available in your dashboard usually a few minutes after purchase. Setting up the app and OBS comes on top.

An ingest endpoint is a dedicated input channel on your server. Each endpoint lets you send one active signal, for example from your phone via Moblin. If you want multiple sources available simultaneously, you'll need additional endpoints.

Yes. You can add endpoints or reduce their number at any time in your dashboard. A reduction takes effect from your next billing period. Until then, your existing endpoints remain available.

We support RTMP and SRT/SRTLA. An endpoint is set up for RTMP or SRT/SRTLA. In SRT/SRTLA mode, you can use plain SRT for one connection or SRTLA bonding for multiple connections. This lets you receive streams from common apps and add them as sources in OBS.

For mobile streaming from unstable connections, we recommend SRT (Secure Reliable Transport). SRT offers built-in error correction that recovers lost packets on weak connections, reducing interruptions compared to RTMP. If you need to bond multiple connections together (e.g. driving through dead zones), use SRTLA instead. Note: if the phone signal drops completely, the source in OBS goes dark. Your stream to Twitch or YouTube keeps running. Tools like NOALBS can automatically switch scenes in that case.

SRT sends a stable, low-latency stream over a single connection. SRTLA does the same but bonds multiple connections at once (e.g. two or three phone/LTE modems) into one resilient stream. If one connection drops, the others keep it running smoothly.
